ABOVE AND BEYOND. Those are the first words that come to mind when we think of the quality of work M3 Renovations provided us. Mike and his team are absolutely phenomenal! From start to finish on our basement remodel, Mike always answered all of our questions and provided ideas and solutions along the way. He always made sure we were aware of the cost for the project and would always communicate any additional costs there may be. Mike truly listened to everything we were looking to have done and provided us with a very clear and detailed invoice for all the work to be done. M3 takes great pride in all of the work they do. They even went the extra mile to keep the entire work area as clean as possible. They made sure to protect our floors with canvas and rubber mats for all of the material and all of their equipment. We had all of our basement walls leveled and sanded for the prep-work prior to painting. Mike made sure that all surfaces were as smooth and as even as possible prior to painting. Plastic was placed up on the entryway to the basement to ensure that the dust from all the sanding didn't spread to other areas of our house. They kept all areas remarkably clean! We will most definitely hire M3 Renovations for all of our future remodeling!!

  I would give six stars if I could. Mike is very pleasant and helpful to work with. He is conscientious, a hard worker, and accessible. He did two rooms in my house, including a full kitchen renovation (down to the studs and joists, and removing walls). The workmanship is excellent and when I had questions, they were answered. When there were things I wasn't happy with, they got fixed. I felt very comfortable having him and all the members of his crew in my home.

Called for an estimate of a partial bathroom remodel, and spoke with the owner, Mike who informed me I was "too far out" and that he couldn't help me.  This company is located in Fairfax, and I live in Arlington, about 30 minutes away.  The Yelp business said it serves Fairfax and surrounding area, I would think Arlington would be included.  Also, I might have been okay with that response, had I not looked on Yelp and seen reviews from people living in Arlington like myself, Alexandria and even as far as Washington, DC- both of which are further out than me!   I also asked for recommendations for someone closer to me and he was unable to provide. Mike was perfectly pleasant to speak with, and I imagine he's a nice guy, but to me, this seems like they are cherry-picking projects (aka, higher-dollar).

  Mike and his team have now renovated all three of our bathrooms and we are beyond happy with the beautiful work. Mike is reliable, hardworking, and will make sure you're 100% satisfied with the job. I don't even bother researching other companies when I need work done around the house because I know M3 will do an amazing job for a great price.

  We recently had Mike and Rich do a complete reno of our kitchen, and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out. The transformation is amazing...we spend all our time in our new kitchen marveling at how beautiful it is. Mike and his crew did an outstanding job...can't say enough about their professionalism and attention to detail. If you're thinking about a major home improvemrnt job, we highly recommend M3. They are worth their weight in gold! The friendliest, most professional people you could ever work with. 5 stars!

  I was recently in a bind when a previous contractor caused a master bathroom leak that caused the flooring to be removed for remediation. Mike gave me a quote to re-tile the floor in a timely manner, and was able to fit us in on short notice between his other jobs. They were quick, professional and did a great job.  Mike was very responsive over email and phone, and provided regular updates.I would definitely use M3 Renovations again when I'm in the market for a repair or a larger remodeling job.

Update: I also had a storm door installed by M3 Renovations and they did an excellent job.

  I'm writing this review because I believe in M3.  Mike is a good guy, smart and focused.  He runs his company like I would run a construction firm -- that is, he is a hands-on owner who works alongside his crew and so supervises directly.  That setup is the best for quality assurance.  So I have absolutely no doubts about their quality workmanship.  However, he was a lot more ambitious with ideas for our remodel than our budget would allow, yet we also never received an actual quote verbally or written.  Honestly, that sealed my decision.  He was kinda feeling us out I suppose, and I can't blame him for trying to inspire us.  But in the end I thought money would be the issue.  When you have an entire house that needs cosmetic and structural work, ya keep things simple.

  Mike and his team deserve more than 5 stars! From the first time I spoke with Mike to discuss an estimate I knew I had found a contractor I could work with. Mike is extremely professional, follows through on his word, and did outstanding tile work in our kitchen. Even the tile shop where we placed our tile order commented how professional and responsive Mike was about our tile order when she spoke to him to confirm our design plan. We are thrilled with M3 Renovations and will definitely be using them for future projects.

  I contacted Mike to help me rebuild my kitchen after we had significant water damage.  We ended up using the contractor provided by insurance because processing the claim was just easier and quicker using insurance's contractor.  However I can tell you this... next time I need work I'm reaching out to Mike.  He was great.  He came to my place quickly and took his time trying to understand what I wanted and was very thorough when explaining options to me.  This guy knows his stuff.  In addition to that you can tell that he is VERY DETAIL ORIENTED which is exactly what you want if you're a perfectionist like myself.  Mike subcontracts with Rich Serway from Stuart Kitchens for cabinets and he was awesome too.  Use these guys.  They are professional, detail oriented, and trustworthy.

  Love Mike and Kevin!  Needed a master shower install so used M3 based on other Yelp reviews.  Mike was prompt, professional, and best of all, always on-site.  Was he a little more expensive than I originally wanted?  Yes, but the proof is in his craftsmanship and honestly, a home renovations is not something you want to skimp on!  So, nothing but love from us to Mike and we look forward to calling on M3 for future work.

  I used M3 Renovations to renovate my kitchen, as well as update parts of my home.  First, Mike, the owner is an absolute top notch individual and a pleasure to work with.  This was my first time hiring someone on a project like this and I am glad that I used M3 for the job.  From the first time he came over to my house, Mike was very attentive to what I was looking for in our kitchen renovation.  Mike was always straightforward, told me what he could deliver, and for how much.  Mike was always available to answer any questions I had, gave me timely updates and was always willing to go the extra mile to make sure that I got the most for my money.  Mike and his crew did a fantastic job on our house and I was very very happy with their product.  From the first day of the project to the last day, Mike and his crew were absolute professionals.

We selected 3 contractors to compare. All were very attentive at the beginning.

After designs were drawn, Contractor #1 would not let us see it until we signed a contract. Contractor #2 let us see his design at his office on a computer with state of the art technology that was able to rotate to view from every angle. Rich, the cabinet salesman and designer that Mike had us work with gave us hand drawn plans plus drawings that showed the way the kitchen would look from various angles. We loved being able to keep the drawings. We looked at them every day, imagining how the kitchen would look. We eliminated Contractor #1. We didn't feel comfortable signing a contract without actually seeing a plan. Contractor #2 had more years experience, and was highly rated on Angie's List. We were leaning toward them.  When the time came to make a final decision, we still had a few questions. Contractor #2 did not follow up. Mike and Rich were very attentive and answered all of our questions. We felt comfortable with the thought that all of our questions would be answered, and that Mike and Rich were seriously interested in our business. We went with M3.

Rich worked with us to get the design exactly as we wanted. He took a lot of time showing us all of the options for cabinets. A more expensive cabinet happened to be on sale for a certain window of time, but before our renovation was to begin. Rich pointed it out to us, and we were able to get top of the line cabinets for a reasonable price, and have them sent when we were ready. Rich has a wealth of experience in the cabinet and kitchen business. He made suggestions for counter top and hardware to consider. All of his ideas were helpful and made sense for the kitchen. Rich has a keen eye for design and structure.

Once the demolition and construction began, Mike and crew were at our house promptly each day, worked as a team the whole day, and cleaned up thoroughly before leaving. Mike had suggestions as we went along for how to address specific issues (type of backsplash to consider, what type of corner to have for granite countertop, alignment of the pendant lights, and more). Mike has a real eye for style and knows what works. His suggestions were always great. Mike also pays attention to every detail, and will not consider his work done until all of the details are taken care of.

We have had several experiences with contractors over the years, but we have never been so completely satisfied with the workmanship, quality, honesty and reliability of M3. Mike and his company are the finest in the business. 5 Stars!

  Mike is amazing!

My husband and I woke up last week to a leak in our kitchen ceiling coming from our master bath. We called a plumber who essentially just guessed where it might be coming from. He caulked the drain and said if that didn't work we'd have to rip up our shower floor for the tune of $1600 to assess the problem. Unfortunately the water spot kept growing and we decided to get a second opinion as we weren't prepared for a bathroom remodel. After reading Mike's reviews on Yelp, I decided to give him a call and after a few minutes on the phone I knew I had found my guy.

Mike is a genuinely kind and honest person. You can tell he loves his work! Within ten minutes of arriving, Mike found the leak by opening up the ceiling and saving my shower floor! I appreciated how much time he spent with me showing me what he was doing and why. He was thorough, thoughtful, quick, and fairly priced. He is incredibly knowledge and I will absolutely be calling him for future work.

  Mike Moniz is a great find! Not only is he wonderful at what he does - which is nearly everything when it comes to home improvements, but his crew is friendly and knowledgeable and he is genuinely a nice guy! Mike and his crew installed can lighting in several rooms in our house, updated our basement ceiling from popcorn to a nice smooth finish, and replaced all of the ceiling fans in our bedrooms, reinforcing the electrical structuring from the attic. We will definitely use M3 for all of our home improvement needs into the future! Call him!

  My wife and I had a sliding patio door fail on us, causing water to leak into our basement and ruing our carpet.  We hired M3 the remove the old door and install a new one.  We can't say one bad thing about their work.  Excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail.  They took their time and did the job right.  The M3 guys all spoke English, were very polite to my wife, and even cleaned off the leaves and debris on our deck.  To top it off, they even offered to let our dogs out while we were at work.  Top notch craftsmanship and customer service.

  Mike and his team from M3 built an interior wall for our 4th bedroom. They finished the job in exactly the time frame and price stated. Mike's a nice guy, and his team is professional and courteous. We felt comfortable giving them a key to the house while we were out.

Will definitely call them again when we need work done.

  I have worked with M3 Renovations for 5 or 6 years now; spanning two residences and have been 100% satisfied with every project.

Our latest project was a kitchen remodel. From adding a giant island to creating long stacked stone feature wall, Mike and his team not only executed my plans beautifully, they were able to give me recommendations for improvement (which I took and was glad I did) and also provided alternative solutions which saved me money. For example, I didn't like my cabinets, there was a dark gap at the top that went all the way around, they were very cookie cutter...rather than spend upwards of $15k to replace the cabinets, Mike recommended crown above to take the cabinets up to the ceiling and molding on the bottom to finish off the ugly edges. VERY happy with the results.

Collaboration between Mike's team, Pella (for new windows and doors) and the wood floor installers was also important in this project as things had to be done a certain way/order and Mike was there to talk with them for me and give special instructions that were key to everything fitting together properly.

I've had my new kitchen for a few months now and have gotten compliments from everyone that's seen it.

Will definitely have M3 back for my next project.

  Mike and his team recently renovated our kitchen.  The team did a great job on the project and everything looks amazing.  Mike and his team started and completed the project in a timely manner.  They did not leave loose ends hanging and we really felt like we were their only client while they were working on our house.  Also, the team cleaned up every evening before leaving for the day.  This was extremely important to us as we have a toddler roaming around the house.  Lastly, the project came in on budget!  After hearing so many horror stories about contractors jacking up the price at the end of a project, we were holding our breath a little for the final bill.  When we got the final bill, it was exactly what we were quoted.  

Overall, not only did Mike and his team do a great job, the experience overall of working with M3 was great.  We will definitely be working with M3 again in the future.

  As a new home owner (and first time at that), it was really nice to find a contractor we could trust. Mike gave us a reasonable estimate within 48 hours of my inquiry by visiting our home (not so cheap that we were concerned, not so expensive that we knew we were getting screwed), and discussed all of the options for fixing the bad workmanship of the previous owner. Our problem was that the drain installed in our tile bathroom was set about 1/4 to 1/2 an inch higher than the actual tile work, meaning that water pooled. He worked with us to finds mutually convenient time, dropped the drain and fixed it all. He left our bathroom and house clean, despite needing to run out to his truck to the rain, and the drain works perfectly now. I feel so much better knowing that everything works as it should. Will definitely recommend to friends and use again.

  Mike and his team are 100% professional, efficient, and fantastic to work with.  They showed up to replace granite in my townhouse, worked well, and had great manners and customer service. Furthermore, Mike was very good at giving advice and insight into future projects I discussed with him.  I'll definitely use Mike again.

  I've had some nightmarish experiences with home renovation projects.  Not this time!  Mike completed substantial renovations on two bathrooms in my home, and both look beautiful.  He is a perfectionist and pays attention to every little detail, both above and below the surface.  He is incredibly knowledgeable about all aspects of both the design and construction process; you don't have to worry about anything, as he provides help if you are so inclined with choosing and ordering all materials.  Finally, he is reliable and completes work in a timely fashion.  Highly recommended for any home renovation project.

  We are very pleased with M3 Renovations and Mike Moniz.  We had them remodel our first floor a couple of years ago and were so pleased with that project that we called them to redo a small bathroom upstairs.  It was a good choice.  Mike was extremely helpful in advising us on the tile, the counter top, etc. Once the work started, the crew worked on our project every day until it was finished.  Kevin, the primary worker, was an expert in the installation and even cleaned up at the end of every day.  The outcome is terrific.  We are very pleased.

  I could not be happier with the job M3 did on my project.  From the timely estimate to the finished project, Mike has proven to be skilled, professional and attentive.

I called Mike to build a knee wall and install a cabinet to replace an old iron railing between my living room and dining room.  Mike was able to come over the evening I called and emailed me an estimate less than 48 hours later.  The project took a day and a half and he showed up on time each day, stayed on site working with his employee, put in over an 8 hour day, and cleaned up the area before leaving.  I think I was most impressed that he took the time to go over what was done, what he still needed to finish, and to make sure I was getting the finished product I expected.

His pricing was fair and the craftsmanship is excellent.  I'll definitely call him first for my next project.

  We cannot recommend M3 Renovations enough.  They just did a complete remodel of our kitchen and it looks amazing.  Not only do they do stellar work, but they completed the kitchen remodel in a very expeditious manner and in the exact amount of time promised.  Mike Moniz is the owner of the company and he was a pleasure to work with.  He also recommended a cabinet guy (Rich) to work with who did a great job in helping with the cabinets and the design of the kitchen.  

One of the best things about M3 is that the owner (Mike) and his employees (Kevin and Connor) do most of the work themselves without subcontracting a lot of it out.  For instance, they were able to do all the plumbing and electrical themselves without having a separate plumber and electrician come in.  If you have dealt with contractors before, then you'll know that the more subcontractors involved, the greater the likelihood of problems and delays arising.  M3's business model is a real asset in this regard.    

Mike, and his employees, Kevin and Connor, are all really good guys and we felt very comfortable with them in our home.  While we really wanted a new kitchen, we were somewhat dreading going through the process itself.  Mike, Kevin, and Connor made it as painless as possible.  Not only did they make it a relatively painless process, but they really went above and beyond in several areas and we could tell that they wanted to make sure that we were happy customers.  We can unqualifiedly say that we are!  Thank you M3 for our beautiful brand new kitchen!

  At the referral of a friend, we contacted Mike Moniz with M3 Renovations to discuss a complete kitchen upgrade in our home. From the start, we found Mike to be friendly, professional, and extremely helpful. Mike was always very patient in working with us and helpful in his advice on design ideas. Never once did we feel rushed or that Mike was pushing for our business. Mike took the time to explain things thoroughly, and throughout the entire project he made every effort to make sure we were happy. Mike's crew (he does not use subcontractors, a major plus) is also fantastic -- friendly, hardworking, and professional. They arrived and departed on time every day, always cleaned up thoroughly, and were always available and patient in answering any questions we had during construction. We found the cost and time frame of the project both to be very reasonable. We are thrilled with our kitchen and used him again to replace our utility sink with a built-in laundry sink.   Mike and his team did some drywall patching/painting, tile repair, and custom molding for me. They did a stellar job!

  We used M3 Renovations to perform a fairly sizable kitchen renovation that involved new flooring (wood & tiling), cabinetry, counters, appliances, lighting, service movement (electrical, water, gas, and HVAC), window expansion, removal of a wall, and drywall/painting.  

This was our first major project so we naturally were very cautious, took our time, and had lots of questions along the way.  Mike and his team were fantastically supportive right from the first encounter and patiently worked with us on ideation, design, and recommendations for  vendors for things that they could not directly do (like floors, counters, and masonry).  Mike's cabinet partner, Rich, has a wonderful design sense and worked through multiple revisions of the design with us while also being extremely helpful in terms of providing opinions and suggestions whose value we realized in the finished product.

The project itself went extremely smoothly.  Mike and his team were meticulous in their work and were always great about consulting with us for preferences, answering questions, and making suggestions for improvements.  Their attention to detail was fantastic and you could tell that they are craftsmen who take pride in their work rather than trying to meet some minimal bar just to get the job done quickly.  One of the benefits of going with M3 is that they do most of the work themselves so you have continuity of work and workers rather than a random procession of sub-contractors streaming through your house.

I have no reservations in recommending M3 Renovations.  These guys do top-notch work and made the whole process about as stress-free and pleasant as humanely possible.
